We offer speed & agility training each and every Sunday as part of your member benefits. A coach may recommend the extra training, or you can sign up.

Why It Is Important??

Body Awareness

Regardless of the sport, speed and agility training exercises are essential to developing a young athlete's performance and ability. Agility training exercises help to  teach young athletes healthy habits, proper body positioning, balance, coordination, and hand-eye coordination.

Athleticism

Speed and agility workouts compliment and improve performance of all sports. The workouts improve acceleration, deceleration, foot speed, quickness and change of direction. If you want to get better at a sport you must develop your overall athleticism

  • Dynamic Warm-Up (see below; not really a phase of speed training but essential to include prior to speed training)
  • Mechanics
  • Acceleration (reaching maximum speed in the shortest amount of time possible)
  • Top-End Speed
  • Deceleration
  • Change of Direction (Agility & Quickness)
