The health and safety of our families is paramount. We will be following state and county guidelines for youth activities. Outdoor practices will be held at locations that will provide plenty of space for social distancing when needed. For indoor practices, we ask that only the minimum spectators attend. Any athlete that is showing symptoms of illness, or has been around someone who has been sick, please refrain from attending any scheduled activities. We believe training is important and do not want our athletes missing out, however, we do not want to risk any further infections.
We will also be taking the following precautions:
- Any athlete that is showing signs of ailment may be asked to leave the activity and return when they no longer have symptoms. This will be at the discretion of the NX Level Management. In order to keep all of our staff and athletes safe, we ask that all families are transparent about their childs health. If your athlete has acute conditions such as allergies or asthma, please speak with the Athletic Director at the beginning of the season.
- Mouth guards are not to be touched once in an athletes mouth. If it is touched, hand sanitizer will be available in the event hand washing is not an option.
- Frequent hand and equipment sanitizing
For team sports, each age team will consist of 7 to 10 athletes. There may be multiple teams at each age level to give all athletes ample playing time in competition. We want to ensure all of our athletes have the opportunity to receive high quality instruction and playing time. Should we have more than 12 registrants in any age group, we will form an additional team.
Practices will be 2 to 4 time a week for 1.5 to 2 hours. These are subject to change with each season. Each Sunday will be LEVEL UP training.
In order to get the most from this program, it is imperative that athletes attend all practices. We understand situations may arise that may be unavoidable. Please make sure you communicate with your coaches and/or the director of the sport being missed or Athletic Director. It may be possible to make up the practice with a paid one on one or small group session.
We build our practices to be progressive; building on the skills previously learned and continue to work toward mastery. Pre-season practices are not mandatory, however, they are highly recommended. Our goal is to develop each athlete mentally and physically to meet the demands that participation in multiple sports will bring. Work ethic is evaluated! Your athlete has to want it more than you!!! While we will be instilling this in each of our members, it is important to remind them to continue their work at home. (Due to covid-19 concerns, this policy will not be as strict as usual. PLEASE communicate with the NX Level coaches or Athletic Director if your child will be missing any events)

While it is highly recommended that all of our athletes participate in every sport, we recognize, some sports are not for every athlete. We encourage each of our boys and girls to at least try every sport. Participation in multiple sports increases the likelihood that an athlete will continue sports in high school and beyond. It also decreases the chance of devastating injury. Many of our older athletes have chose to only participate in track and field but are welcome to come out and work with any of our coaches. Membership includes access to all of our programs.
No. Any athlete that wishes to play for a tournament team must be an official NX level AthletX member.
All NX Level athletes will be covered by the club insurance policy. In addition to our policy, athletes will be covered by an athletic association insurance policy as well as the insurance policy of any league we are playing in.
Parents are required to help as needed. While there will be positions such as team parent available as a more stable role; at times, we will require and appreciate your assistance. Team parents and management will communicate these needs as they arise. All families are required to sign up for a day to bring snacks.
Uniforms will vary from league and tournament team . Each sport will require certain items that must be obtained by the athletes family, for example, sport specific shoes, mouth guards or under uniform gear.
We encourage you to communicate with other families. Get to know one another, socialize, exchange numbers , find out who is closet to your neighborhood, create systems for backing each other up etc. “It takes a village” and NX Level is the village that makes sure all of our athletes are taken care of. Should the occasion arise that you will need assistance getting your athlete to and from practice or any other event, please make arrangements with another family. Please remember, when having someone else care for your athlete…
· It is the Parents responsibility to make arrangements for their athlete, NOT the athlete.
· Do not assume someone else can take your athlete
· Do not wait until last minute to make arrangements
Note: Make sure you have all of the NX Level management and your child's coaches contact information saved in case you are in need and another family cannot provide help.
We encourage you to understand the sport your athlete is participating in. Read the rules for the league and/or associations we are affiliated.
Additional expectations...
- Ensure your athlete gets to and from practices, games and events on time.
- Communicate effectively with coaches and staff
- Ensure your athlete is well rested and eating a proper diet
Fundraising is necessary for all athletes and parents. We recognize that fundraising can be challenging & not everyone’s favorite thing to do, but it is an absolute necessity in order to keep our costs within reason for our athletes. Families are welcome to provide a donation instead of fundraising if they are financially able to do so. We also provide incentives to families who bring a corporate or business sponsor to our organization.
Club sports come with a great deal of financial responsibility. Families are expected to pay the registration fee and monthly membership dues. In addition to those, families are also responsible for 50% of league and tournament fees. These fees are due by one week before the scheduled competition. Additional items such as sport specific footwear or mouth guards will need to be purchased by the family. Uniforms must also be purchased. All travel is family responsibility.
Athlete in need grants may be allowed for athletes that can provide proof that they or their parents are on public assistance (TANF, SNAP, etc.). Grants are not promised. All athletes and their parents, awarded a grant are required to participate in all team fundraising and assist as needed during meets. This is absolutely necessary as we are a non-profit entity.
All athletes are expected to come to practices, games and events ready to work. We ask that they always have a positive attitude, show great effort and remain focused. Should an athlete become off task, disrespectful or disruptive to other athletes, they may be asked to perform additional work outs as determined by the supervising coach. If the behavior continues, the athlete could be asked to sit out and a parent meeting will be requested to find a solution and avoid any further issues.
